It’s time for a change. With the end of development of Mac Internet Explorer, I will be leaving Microsoft and moving on to pursue other interests back in Dubai. Though I’ll miss working with my good friends in the Mac Business Unit, I’m also ready to try something new. I’ll post more about my future plans later this summer.
In the mean time, if anyone is interested in buying a 2002 Mercedes-Benz G500, let me know. 🙂
G-Wagen off road
I’ve reorganized my online photo album so that there is a seperate section of pictures of me and others driving off-rooad. I’ve also added new pictures from my trip this past weekend to Hollister Hills with some Land Rover owners. Click the picture to the right to view pictures from this trip. Hollister is about an hour drive south of Palo Alto.
I’m in Dubai this week
I now have a Microsoft
I now have a Microsoft Smartphone 2002 device. It’s a Compal AR11 and is replacing my SonyEricsson T68i. So far it’s working great and is very useful since it can remotely sync with the Exchange servers at Microsoft anywhere in the world via GPRS. It has improved my productivity and helped me remember meetings that I would normally have forgotten.
I have two complaints:
- Battery life isn’t great. It needs to be charged every night or it will die.
- Lacks built-in Bluetooth support
One intesting note is that Compal builds the new 17″ PowerBook G4 for Apple.
This particular model will be sold by Everlink Wireless in the US and possibly by T-Mobile as well.
Apple introduced their new music
Apple introduced their new music download service along with updated iPods and a new version of iTunes. Well, there goes another $399.
Of course, I’ll have to get the new Belkin iPod Auto Adapter.
